Privacy Policy · Transparent · Minimal Collection

Transparent, minimal collection,
protection always on

This privacy policy aims to put three things on one page: what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it — so you don't have to cross-reference several documents. We adhere to the principle of minimum necessity: keeping only what's required to run the service, not collecting personal information unrelated to it, not storing access records, and not sharing user privacy content with third parties. Data transmission uses an end-to-end encryption mechanism, and policies update in sync with standards. Your right to know and your right to use shouldn't be a footnote at the end.

Three core principles

Conclusion first: how we think about your information

Privacy policies tend to be long, so the three core principles come first. If you only want to know how we make trade-offs, these three are essentially enough.

01 / TRANSPARENCY

Transparency

What we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how we protect it — spelled out in the open. We don't describe what actually happens with vague words like "may" or "possibly," and we don't hide key information where it takes repeated effort to find.

02 / MINIMAL

Minimal collection

We adhere to the principle of minimum necessity. Only the minimum information required to run the service is kept — we don't collect ahead of time because it "might be useful someday." If we don't need it, we don't collect it; if we don't need to keep it, we don't retain it.

03 / PROTECTION

Protection always on

Data transmission uses an end-to-end encryption mechanism, encrypted throughout from your device to the exit node. Encryption and transmission policies update in sync with standards, with no parameters for you to adjust manually.

01

Scope

This privacy policy applies to QuickQ VPN's client software, official website, and related services. When you download, install, sign in to, or use any of the above, this policy applies. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please stop using the related services.

This policy does not apply to third-party websites or services reached through links from our services. Those third parties have their own privacy practices, and we suggest reviewing their notices before using them. We do not control and are not responsible for how third parties handle information.

What this policy covers

  • Which information we collect and what we collect it for.
  • Which information we explicitly do not collect, and why.
  • How information is stored, retained, and protected, and under what circumstances it may be disclosed.
  • What rights you have over your information and how to exercise them.
  • How we notify you when the policy updates.
02

Information we collect

We limit collection to the minimum set required to run the service. The table below lists the specific categories, contents, and purposes. Each item maps to a clear functional need — there are no items collected ahead of time "in case they're needed later."

Category
Specific content
Purpose
Account information
Account identifier used at registration or sign-in, subscription status
For identity verification, to determine subscription validity, and to sync sign-in status across devices
Basic device information
Operating system type and version, client version number
To match installers to systems and provide the appropriate version and update notices
Connection operational data
Connection status, line identifier in use, connection duration, and latency level
To maintain connection stability, perform line selection, and troubleshoot — does not include access content
Payment-related information
Subscription cycle, order status, payment result
To confirm subscription activation, handle renewal and refunds; payment credentials are handled by the payment channel
Note: Connection operational data is used only to judge connection quality and troubleshoot. It has nothing to do with "what you accessed." We do not associate this data with specific access content.
03

Information we don't collect

More important than listing what we collect is being clear about what we don't. The following are not within our collection scope, and we do not obtain them indirectly either.

✕
Access records

We do not record which websites you visit or which services you use, and we do not store browsing history, request content, or communication records.

✕
Communication content

We do not read, parse, or store any content you transmit over the network, including messages, files, and audio or video data.

✕
Precise location

We do not collect your device's GPS location. Line selection is based on network quality metrics, not your physical location.

✕
Contacts and photos

We do not access device contacts, messages, photos, or other local data unrelated to service functionality.

✕
Third-party behavioral profiling

We do not use your information to build cross-platform behavioral profiles or for targeted advertising.

✕
Unrelated personal information

We do not collect personal information unrelated to running the service. We don't retain things ahead of time "in case they're needed later."

04

How information is used

Collected information is used only for the purposes listed below. If an item can't be mapped to any of these purposes, it shouldn't be collected.

Providing and maintaining the service

  • Verifying account identity, confirming subscription status, and enabling connections to establish.
  • Matching client and system versions, and providing the appropriate update notices.
  • Maintaining connection stability and locating the stage where a problem occurs.

Improving the experience

  • Adjusting node scheduling and line selection logic based on aggregated connection quality data.
  • Identifying frequently occurring problem types and improving client interactions and prompts.
  • This analysis uses aggregated operational data and does not target any specific user's access content.

Handling subscriptions and payments

  • Confirming order status so subscription benefits take effect immediately after payment.
  • Handling renewal, cycle changes, and refund-related matters.
Not used for: We do not use your information for advertising, user profiling, selling or exchanging with third parties, or for any purpose not listed in this policy.
05

Storage and retention

Information is retained only as long as needed to fulfill its purpose. Once the necessary period passes, the corresponding information is deleted or anonymized — we don't keep it long-term on the grounds that it "might be useful."

Retention periods

  • Account information: retained while the account is active, deleted per process after account closure.
  • Connection operational data: kept only for a limited period for troubleshooting and quality analysis, not stored long-term.
  • Payment-related information: retained for the period required by financial and compliance requirements, then deleted.

Storage and security measures

  • Data storage uses access controls, with only authorized personnel able to access it within the necessary scope.
  • Transmission uses an end-to-end encryption mechanism to reduce the risk of interception.
  • Data retention is checked regularly, with information beyond its necessary period cleared promptly.
06

Sharing and disclosure

We do not share user privacy content with third parties. Except in the limited situations below, your information is not provided to any third party.

Limited situations that may apply

  1. With your explicit consent: Only when you actively authorize it, will the corresponding information be shared within the authorized scope.
  2. Payment channel processing: The payment step is completed by the payment channel. We receive only order status and payment results, and do not touch complete payment credentials.
  3. Legal requirements: When receiving a formal request that follows legal procedure, we cooperate within the scope permitted by law and inform users of the relevant situation where possible.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell user information to third parties.
  • We do not use user information for third-party advertising or marketing purposes.
  • We do not share user access records or communication content with third parties — we don't collect these in the first place.
07

Data transmission protection

Protecting data during transmission is the most direct part of privacy protection. QuickQ uses an end-to-end encryption mechanism that keeps data encrypted throughout from your device to the exit node.

Encryption mechanism

  • Encrypted throughout transmission, with no intermediate stage able to read data content.
  • Encryption takes effect automatically when the connection is established — no need to switch it on or adjust parameters.
  • Encryption and transmission policies update in sync with standards, so installing the new version means using the current, more solid configuration.

The relationship between stability and privacy

Connection stability is itself part of privacy protection. Frequent drops mean the connection has to be re-established repeatedly, while the sensitive reconnect mechanism automatically resumes after network jitter, reducing unnecessary repeated establishment. In experience terms this is "effortless"; in security terms it's "reducing the exposure window."

Public network scenario: On public Wi-Fi in cafés, airports, or hotels, the encrypted tunnel adds a layer of protection to your data, so you don't need extra caution around other devices on the same network.
08

Your rights

You have clear rights over information related to you. These rights aren't decoration at the end of a policy — they can actually be exercised.

RIGHT / 01

Right to know

You have the right to understand what information we collect, what it's for, and how long we keep it. This policy is our complete answer to those questions.

RIGHT / 02

Right of access

You can view basic account-related information and subscription status in account settings, and see what information is currently retained.

RIGHT / 03

Right to correct

If information related to your account is incorrect, you can correct it through account settings or contact us for assistance.

RIGHT / 04

Right to delete

You can request account closure. After closure, account-related information is deleted per process, except for portions required by law or regulation to be retained.

RIGHT / 05

Right to withdraw consent

For processing based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the legality of processing carried out before withdrawal.

RIGHT / 06

Right to uninstall and leave

You can stop using the service and uninstall the client at any time. Uninstalling leaves no unnecessary local data behind, and account status can be managed in settings.

09

Protection of minors

This service is designed for adults. We do not actively collect information from minors and do not intentionally collect personal information from minors.

  • If you are a minor, please use this service with the consent and guidance of a guardian.
  • If a guardian discovers a minor using the service without consent, they can contact us for assistance.
  • After becoming aware of the situation, we will delete the corresponding information per process and close the related account.
10

Policy updates and contact

The privacy policy updates as the service and standards change. When there are substantive adjustments, we update the version number and effective date on the page and notify you of the key points through an in-client notice, so you have a chance to understand the changes before continuing to use the service.

How updates are communicated

  • The version information at the top of the page changes with each update.
  • Substantive changes are explained with key points through an in-client notice.
  • Key points from historical versions are preserved for reference, so you can compare changes.

How to reach us
